Globally, 60 men die by suicide every hour. This November, our Holy Cross College community is stepping up to make a real difference.
Supporting our young men means caring for the whole person—nurturing physical well-being, fostering open dialogue, and encouraging them to step forward in service of others. That’s why every student at the College is taking on the MOVE for Men’s Mental Health Month challenge in partnership with the Movember Foundation.
From 1–30 November, our young men are committing to run, walk, or cycle 60 kilometres—honouring the 60 lives lost globally every hour. By logging their kilometres and fundraising under our official Holy Cross team, students are building healthy habits, raising critical funds for suicide prevention, and taking initiative for a cause that touches so many families.
How You Can Get Involved:
🚶 Get Active Together: Go for a walk or bike ride — moving together opens up great conversations.
📱 Set Up & Share: Log your kilometres and share your fundraising page.
🤝 Donate: Support individual goals or contribute directly to the Holy Cross team.
Every kilometre walked and every dollar raised helps fund life-saving mental health programmes, youth support, and cancer research. Let’s back our students as they turn movement into meaningful action.
If you or someone you know is struggling, Lifeline is available 24/7 on 13 11 14 or the Kids Helpline 1800 55 1800. Support is always available at Holy Cross – you can always speak to your HCT Teacher, Year Coordinator or a teacher.
