The Cardinal Gilroy library provides a social space to meet, collaborate, research, learn, share, and relax. The staff work to develop a reading culture and raise the levels of information literacy across the school by leading students through processes which empower them to be critical thinkers, enthusiastic readers and skilful, efficient and discerning researchers.
Our library is part of our flexible learning precinct. The learning environment allows students to learn and study in many different ways. Some students can find learning spaces to collaborate and create whilst others can find quiet spaces for private study. On Wednesday afternoons The Cardinal Gilroy Library is open for Homework Help. This allows students to complete work in a quiet environment and ask for assistance and guidance from the supervising teacher.
The Oliver library management system, together with the ACEN digital library provide 24/7 access to a wealth of authentic, authoritative, age appropriate resources to specifically meet student and staff needs.
